We have recently finished implementing a major IT and communications infrastructure upgrade across the international operating network of Briggs Marine & Environmental Services.
The six figure deal, which took six months to complete, saw our staff set up a new IT network serving all offices of the marine contracting and environmental services company.
The roll-out of the improvement programme saw work undertaken at Briggs' new head office in Burntisland, Fife, and was followed by a similar process at the firm's Aberdeen premises.
Additional phases involved upgrade work undertaken at Briggs' international facilities in Brazil, Egypt and Azerbaijan, as well as a series of other sites in England and Wales. This was followed by a server renewal programme and an upgrade of network security systems.
As part of the ongoing support and maintenance we will also be providing an IT management service including routine on-site assistance at Burntisland.
Technical Manager, Alan Findlay, said: "In essence we transformed Briggs' IT systems and introduced a state-of-the-art network which meets the company's business needs and ensures optimum efficiency."
"Ultimately the whole system is centered upon, and controlled from, their Burntisland HQ while we will have the capability to manage and support the entire network from our support centres. "
"It is an extremely important contract for us and underlines our abilities to serve multi-location clients with interests here and abroad. We look forward to continuing our work with Briggs and providing a system that serves the strategic objectives of the company in terms of customer service and delivery.".
A spokesperson from Briggs' Group commented: "It is extremely important for a company operating in our sphere of commercial activity to have high quality, reliable IT systems and support at our disposal and that is why we have made this investment".
