We are proud to announce that we have formalised a partnership with legal software developer, Pace Professional Systems (PPS), to create a one stop solution for Scottish legal firms.

The partnership now jointly supply legal IT hardware and software and provide support for both elements from a single point. Current clients of both companies will also take advantage of the new agreement.

We have worked together with Edinburgh-based PPS for five years and have many shared clients in the legal sector. The formal partnership will now allow a more streamlined approach to working and builds a greater bank of shared IT knowledge.

Alistair Findlater, managing director, said: "This partnership shows the commitment of both companies to providing the best service possible to a sector which requires consistently high standards.".

"Having a single point of contact will radically increase efficiency and reduce response times for our clients.".

Ronnie Paton, director responsible for sales at Pace Professional Systems, said: "Our partnership with tycom brings together a team of people with tremendous experience of the IT needs of solicitors and we look forward to establishing many more law firm clients as a result.".

Greig McDonell, Partner at Iain Smith & Partners, Galashiels, who benefit from the partnership, said: "Our experience has been a positive one and the benefits which this synergy provides works well. Having a single point of contact is an advantage and allows us to serve our clients more effectively.".

PPS's Pacepro software will now revert to being called LawPro and joins tycom's stable of software products which include probity® (accounting, operations and asset tracking), capability® (competence assurance) and prosperity® (relationship management).

LawPro is a law society compliant practice management system that provides integrated, case management and document management functionality. LawPro will be available for single and multi-user sites, installed and supported by the partnership's team throughout Scotland.
