With the new Tax Year comes new legislation and associated Payroll changes.
The main changes for New Payroll Year – 2022 – 2023 are:
- Employment Allowance changed to £5000 from 6th April 2022
- Tackling Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Abuse
- Tax changes for Health and Social Care – 1.25% Health and Social Care Levy
- Reporting of Trivial Commutation Payments and Flexible Drawdown including Certain Non-taxable Death Benefits
- National Insurance Holidays for Veterans Employer National Insurance Relief
- Freeports Employer National Insurance Contributions (NICs) Relief
Please note, with regard to the Budget announced on the 23rd March, further updates will be required to make amendments to cater for National Insurance changes to be introduced on the 7th July 2022.
