Unfortunately, the world that we are living in contains many “bad actors” in cyber land.
Fortunately, there are a lot of resources available to help you and your staff.
One such resource comes from the NCSC, who have produced a new e-learning training package: ‘Stay Safe Online: Top Tips for Staff’. This can be found at the following url:-
https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/blog-post/ncsc-cyber-security-training-for-staff-now-available
It’s totally free, easy-to-use and takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The training covers why cyber security is important and how attacks happen, and then covers four key areas where we could all be vulnerable:-
- Defending yourself against phishing.
- Using strong passwords.
- Securing your devices.
- Reporting incidents (‘if in doubt, call it out’).
The NCSC also have a great poster available here:-

This can be used to re-enforce the training and would be a useful addition to your staff noticeboards.
